Thank you to every player who attended the U14 trials over the past two weeks. We were delighted with the outstanding standard, attitude and commitment shown throughout the process. With so many talented players in attendance, selecting the final squad has been an extremely difficult task.
Following both trial sessions and a detailed review of performances, we are pleased to announce the players selected to represent West Cornwall Schools' FA at U14 level during the 2026/27 season.
We ask that all parents of selected players email secretary@wcsfa.net to confirm their child's place. A welcome email containing information about the season ahead, training dates, fixtures and registration will then be sent out.

U13 Boys Final Trial Names
Thank you to every player who attended the WCSFA U13 Boys Open Trial on Saturday. We were delighted with the fantastic turnout, and the standard of football throughout the afternoon was extremely high. The quality, attitude and effort shown by all players made selection for the next stage incredibly difficult.
To give our coaching team the best possible opportunity to assess players, we have invited a smaller group to attend the Final Trial. Reducing the numbers will allow us to spend more time observing each individual and ensure every invited player has the greatest opportunity to showcase their ability.
The players listed below have been invited to attend the Final Trial alongside members of last season's WCSFA U13 squad.
We appreciate that those players who have not been invited back will naturally be disappointed. However, these decisions are based solely on what we have seen during the trial and the needs of this particular squad. Footballers develop at different ages and at different rates, and many players who narrowly miss out this year go on to represent WCSFA in future seasons. We encourage every player to continue working hard, enjoying their football and taking every opportunity to develop.

U15 Final Trial Details
We hope all players enjoyed the recent WCSFA U15 trial and felt they had the opportunity to showcase their ability, attitude and potential.
Selection is, of course, always a difficult task. Following careful discussion, we have decided to invite a smaller group of players to attend a Final Trial. By reducing the number of players involved at this stage, our coaching team will have more opportunity to observe individuals in greater detail, ensuring every invited player has the best possible opportunity to demonstrate the qualities we are looking for whilst making the selection process as fair as possible.
To those players who have not been invited back, we understand this will be disappointing. Please remember that simply being nominated by your school is an achievement in itself, and many players came extremely close to selection.
Footballers develop at different ages and at different rates. Today's decision should not be viewed as a judgement on your long-term potential. Many players who narrowly miss out at district level go on to represent district, county and academy teams in future years. Our decisions are based solely on what we have seen during the trial process and the needs of this particular squad.
We encourage every player to continue working hard, enjoying their football and taking every opportunity to develop. We hope to see many of you involved in future WCSFA trials.
